  Possible Causes Solutions
1 A blade incompatible with making this adjustment is being used.

Replace with the holder (turquoise).

2 The amount that the blade extends from the holder is too small.

Remove the holder from the carriage, and then set the blade extension to 3.5.
If the material is not cut cleanly with the blade extension set to 3.5, increase the setting in increments of 0.5. If material is cut after increasing the setting by more than 0.5, too much of the blade may be extended, causing it to break. If the blade breaks, it may no longer be able to cut.

(1) Turn to the left to decrease the blade extension.
(2) Turn to the right to increase the blade extension.

3 A mat incompatible with making this adjustment is being used.

Use a mat appropriate for the material.

4 The mat’s adhesive strength has decreased, and the material is not secured. Replace the mat with a new one.

The cutting mats used by this machine have been redeveloped with a different design, type, function, etc.
For details, refer to “Important information about Mat”.

5 The blade is worn.

Replace the blade with a new one.
For details, see “Replacing the Blade”

White thick paper
Size: A4 (210 mm (8.3 in) × 297 mm (11.7 in)) or Letter (216 mm (8.5 in) × 279 mm (11.0 in))

7 Lint or dust has accumulated in the holder.

Clean the holder.
For details, see “Care and Maintenance (Cleaning the Holder)”

8 The cutting pressure is insufficient. If a part of the pattern remains uncut, the cutting pressure may be insufficient.
Increase the cutting pressure in increments of 1, and then perform trial cutting.
