When the thread became tangled under the bobbin winder seat

If the bobbin winding starts when the thread is not passed through the pre-tension disk correctly, the thread may become tangled beneath the bobbin winder seat.

Wind off the thread according to the following procedure.

(2) Bobbin winder seat

  • Do not remove the bobbin winder seat even if the thread become tangled under the bobbin winder seat. It may result in injuries.

 

 

  1. If the thread become tangled under the bobbin winder seat, press "Stop" once to stop the bobbin winding.

  2. Cut the thread with scissors near the pretension disk.

    (1) Pre-tension disk

     

  3. Push the bobbin winder switch to the right, and then raise the bobbin at least 100 mm (4 inches) from the shaft.

  4. Cut the thread near the bobbin to completely remove the bobbin from the shaft.
    Hold the thread end with your left hand, and wind off the thread clockwise from under the bobbin winder seat with your right hand as shown below.

  5. Wind the bobbin again.
     

    Make sure that the thread passes through the pre-tension disk correctly.
