Unpack your Brother machine

Follow the steps below to unpack the machine:

NOTE: Illustrations shown below are from a representative product and may differ from your Brother machine.

 

  1. Open the box.

  2. Remove the power cord.

  3. Remove the Quick Setup Guide, which contains initial installation instructions for your Brother machine.
    Remove the package containing printed materials.

  4. Remove the packing foam.
    Remove the packing foam
  5. Pull the machine out of the box.

    To prevent possible injuries, at least two people should lift the machine.

  6. Remove the plastic bag.
    Peel off all blue tape.
    Remove the plastic bag and peel off all blue tape
  7. Open the front cover.
    Open the front cover
  8. Pull out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
    Pull out the drum unit
  9. Remove all the orange packing material from the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
    Remove all the orange packing material
  10. Peel off all blue tape.
    Peel off all blue tape
  11. Make sure you remove all the orange packing material from the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.

  12. Push the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine.
    Push the drum unit and toner cartridge
  13. Close the front cover.
    Close the front cover
  14. Peel the blue tape from the paper support flap.
    Peel the blue tape
  15. Pull the paper tray out of the machine.
    Pull the paper tray out
  16. Remove the blue tape, the silica gel pack, and all paper from the paper tray.
    Remove the blue tape, the silica gel pack, and all paper
  17. Push the paper tray completely into the machine.
    Push the paper tray completely
