What kind of memory can I use?


The DIMM that can be used with the HL-5140, HL-5150D and HL-5170DN must have the following specifications:

 

 Type:  100 pin and 32 bit output
 CAS Latency:  2 or 3
 Clock frequency:  66 MHz or more
 Capacity:  16, 32, 64 Mbyte or 128 Mbyte
 Height:  35 mm (1.4 inches) or less
 Parity:  None
 DRAM Type:  SDRAM 4 Bank

For HL-5140 and HL-5150D
The printer has 16 MB of standard memory and a lost for optional additional memory. The memory can be expanded up to a total of 144 MB by installing a commercially available DIMM.

For HL-5170DN
The printer has 32 MB of standard memory and a lost for optional additional memory. The memory can be expanded up to a total of 160 MB by installing a commercially available DIMM.
