For better results when sewing stretch fabrics

To achieve better results when sewing your project with stretch fabrics, refer to the following tips.

  • To avoid skipped stitches, use ball point needle (golden colored) 90/14 when sewing on stretch fabrics.

  • Use thread for knits or a stretch stitch.

  • First, baste the pieces of fabric together, and then sew without stretching the fabric.

    (1) Basting


  • Place thin paper or stabilizer material under the fabric and sew it together with the fabric.
    * When you have finished sewing, tear off any excess paper.

  • Decrease the pressure of the presser foot. (It is applied to models equipped with the function to adjust the presser foot pressure)
