FAQs & Troubleshooting

Your Brother machine cannot scan. / Scanning has stopped.

The computer’s memory is full.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

 

  1. Close other applications before scanning.
  2. (Windows only)
    Adjust the Data Transfer Rate in the Optimize Data Transfer menu of the TWAIN driver or in Brother iPrint&Scan.

    1. Click Advanced Settings... in the TWAIN driver.

    2. Click Additional Functions.

    3. Click Other.

    4. Check Optimize Data Transfer and adjust the Data Transfer Rate. Click OK.

    Brother iPrint&Scan

    1. Click Machine Scan Settings.

    2. Click PC.

    3. Click All Settings.

    4. Click Feed Control.

    5. Check Optimize Data Transfer and click Data Transfer Rate.

    6. Adjust the Data Transfer Rate. Click OK.

    7. Click OK to close the window.
