Brother machines support features for printing and/or scanning (*1) with a mobile device, as listed below.

Wi-Fi Direct

Wi-Fi Direct is one of the wireless configuration methods developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance®. It allows you to securely connect your mobile device to your Brother machine without using a wireless router/access point.

You can use iPrint&Scan or AirPrint features in a Wi-Fi Direct network environment.

Brother iPrint&Scan

Brother iPrint&Scan allows you to use the Printing and Scanning (*1) features of your Brother machine directly from your mobile device without a computer. Download and install the free Brother iPrint&Scan application.

Android™, iOS -
AirPrint

AirPrint allows you to wirelessly print photos, email, web pages, and documents from your iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch - without the need to install a driver.

AirPrint also lets you send faxes directly from your Mac computer without printing them and/or scan documents from your Mac computer without the need to install a driver. (*1)
