FAQs & Troubleshooting
Set up the Brother machine to 2-sided(duplex) print the received faxes.
Your Brother machine can automatically print received faxes onto both sides of the paper when Duplex is set to On.
You can use A4, Letter, Legal, or Folio size plain paper that has a weight of 60 to 105 g/m2 (16 to 28 lb) for this function. Folio size is 215.9 mm x 330.2 mm (8.5 in. x13 in.)
Legal or Folio size paper are not available in some regions.
Either A4 or Letter size paper is available in some regions.
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps under "For touchscreen models" below.
Press the FAX key.
Press MENU and choose Fax => Setup Receive => Duplex .
Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose On .
Press the OK key.
Press the STOP/EXIT key.
When Duplex is turned on, incoming faxes will automatically be reduced to fit the size of paper in the paper tray.
<For touchscreen models>
Press MENU .
Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Fax .
Press Fax .
Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Setup Receive .
Press Setup Receive .
Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Duplex .
Press Duplex .
Press On .
Press the STOP/EXIT key.
When Duplex is turned on, incoming faxes will automatically be reduced to fit the size of paper in the paper tray.
When Duplex is set to On , the LCD displays (Duplex icon).
