Make my copied images lighter or darker.
You can make your copied images darker or lighter by adjusting your Brother machine's Copy Density setting.
To change the Copy Density setting for your next copy job, follow these steps:
Programming a new default Copy Density setting
To change the Copy Density setting for your next copy job, follow these steps:
- Do one of the following:
- For MFC Users:
Press the COPY key to illuminate it.
- For DCP Users:
Go to STEP 2.
- For MFC Users:
- Load your document.
- Use the dial pad to enter the number of copies you want to make (up to 99).
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Density.
- Press the OK key.
- Do one of the following:
- Press the LEFT ARROW key to make a lighter copy.
- Press the RIGHT ARROW key to make a darker copy.
- Press the LEFT ARROW key to make a lighter copy.
- Press the OK key.
- Press the Black (Mono) Start or Color (Colour) Start key to start copying.
Programming a new default Copy Density setting
- Do one of the following:
- For MFC Users:
Press the COPY key to illuminate it.
- For DCP Users:
Go to STEP 2.
- For MFC Users:
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Density.
- Press the OK key.
- Do one of the following:
- Press the LEFT ARROW key to make a lighter copy.
- Press the RIGHT ARROW key to make a darker copy.
- Press the LEFT ARROW key to make a lighter copy.
- Press the OK key.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Set New Default.
- Press the OK key.
- Do one of the following:
- For MFC Users:
Press 1 to choose Yes.
- For DCP Users:
Press + to choose Yes.
- For MFC Users:
- Press the STOP/EXIT key.
