Before downloading

• When connected by USB, unplug the USB cable from the machine before installing the application and make sure that the machine is not connected to the computer.
• In order to install the application, you must be logged on as a user with Administrator privileges.
• Quit all other applications before starting the installation.

Downloading/installation procedure

1. Click the [Download] button to begin downloading.
2. After downloading is finished, double-click the file to expand it.
3. Open the expanded folder, and then double-click “D_SETUP.EXE”.
4. After the installer starts, complete the installation according to the instructions that appear on the screen.

Note:

• During installation, the User Account Control dialog box may appear.
  At that time, click the [OK] or [Continue] button.
  (When logged on as a user other than one with Administrator privileges, type in the administrator password, and then click the [OK] button to continue the procedure.)
   
• During installation of the driver, the "Windows Security" dialog box may appear.
  At that time, click the [Install] button to continue the procedure.

[Bluetooth]

Before downloading

*An optional Brother Bluetooth unit is required to use a Bluetooth connection.

• Before performing the installation, check the following:
  • Install the Bluetooth unit on the printer, and set the Bluetooth switch to ON.
  • Set the printer to Bluetooth mode. Hold the printer’s Feed key for 5 seconds.
    (After the printer is turned on again, it will be in Bluetooth mode.)

[About pairing]

• First, use the Bluetooth Manager software to create a virtual serial port. In addition, remember the number of the created port since it will be needed during installation.
• The PIN code must be entered while pairing.
• The PIN code is the last four digits of your printer’s serial number.
