업데이트 전에 중요 정보

     
    • 펌웨어를 업데이트할 기기가 사용 중이 아닌지 확인하십시오. 또한 펌웨어 업데이트 도구를 실행할 때 기기 메모리에 남아 있는 데이터가 없는지 확인하십시오.
     
    • 컴퓨터에서 다음을 확인하십시오.
      • (Windows) 프린터 속성을 열고 테스트 페이지를 인쇄하여 프린터가 올바르게 작동하고 있는지 확인하십시오.
      • (Mac) Brother 기기와 Mac이 USB 케이블 또는 동일한 네트워크에 연결되어 있는지 확인하십시오.
     
    • 기기에서 다음 조건을 충족하지 않으면 펌웨어를 업데이트할 수 없습니다.
      • 기기가 팩스로 호출 또는 전화를 걸지 않습니다.
      • 기기가 문서를 스캔하지 않습니다.
      • 기기가 복사 또는 복사 설정(복사 모드, 매수 등) 중이 아닙니다.
      • 기기가 설정 메뉴를 사용하는 중이 아닙니다.
      • 전화선을 사용하고 있지 않습니다. 전화선 연결을 끊습니다(수신 호출 방지).
      • Macintosh 컴퓨터를 사용하는 경우, 프린터 드라이버 또는 CUPS 프린터 드라이버가 설치되어 있어야합니다.
     

    펌웨어를 업데이트할 때 다음 데이터가 삭제됩니다.

    • 메모리에 저장된 보안 인쇄 데이터

설치 방법

If you see the following error message "Program failed to run",click here to learn how to solve the problem.

Notes:

  • Please do not turn off the machine until firmware update finishes.
  • You must be logged on as an Administrator.
  • If the "User Account Control" prompt is displayed, click "Continue"/ "Yes”.
    Note: The button may differ depending on the operating system being used. 
     

[When the machine is connected to the PC via USB]

  1. Please make a temporary directory on your HDD to save the downloaded file. e.g. C:\bront
  2. Start downloading.
  3. Once downloading is completed, make sure that the machine is connected to the PC with a USB cable.
  4. Double click the downloaded file.
  5. Please follow the instructions on the screen.

    Note (For Windows 10 users):

  6. The update will start.
  7. When the "Successfully Completed" message is displayed, click 'Done'.

After updating the firmware, make sure you perform the print calibration to ensure that all the latest improvements are effective. To see how to perform the print calibration, click here.
 

[When the machine is connected to the network]

  7. If you have other machines connected to the network, you can update the firmware on these machines by clicking 'Continue' and selecting the model you would like to update the firmware.
