Firmware Update Tool
This is a tool to update the printer's firmware easily using a USB connection. Install the printer driver using a USB connection beforehand.
For models with the transfer function:
Back up the transfer data before updating the firmware.

To learn how to find out what version of firmware you have, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Load a roll of media and confirm the RD Roll compartment top cover is closed. We recommend using the 2.25" (57 mm) or more, wide receipt paper.
  2. Turn on the printer.
  3. Press and hold the Print button for more than one second.
  4. When the list of printer settings is printed, check the following item under “<<PRINTER CONFIGURATION>>”. “ProgVer = VX.XX”
