How to Install

NOTE:
Unplug the FAX/MFC from the AC outlet and disconnect your FAX/MFC from your computer if you already connected an interface cable.
 

For Parallel Users:

  1. Make a temporary directory on your HDD to save the downloaded file, e.g. C:\bront
  2. Start downloading.
  3. Once downloading is completed, double click the downloaded file to extract it.
  4. Plug in the FAX/MFC and connect to PC by Parallel Cable and restart Windows.
  5. When the "Add New Hardware Wizard" screen appears, click "Next".
  6. For Windows 95 Users:
    Click "OK".

    For Windows 95 OSR2/98 Users:
    Skip this step.

    For Windows Me Users:
    Select "Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)", then click "Next".
     
  7. Select (Recommended) and click "Next".
  8. Select "Specify a location" and remove the other check marks, then click "Browse" to locate the file. Specify the same directory as you extracted the file in Step 3 and click "Open" then "OK".
  9. Make sure "Specify a location" is selected and click "Next".
  10. Make sure your printer driver name is displayed and click "Next".
  11. You can type a name, or you can use the name supplied on screen. When you have finished, click "Finish".
  12. When the "Add New Hardware Wizard" appears, click "Finish".
  13. Click "OK".

For USB Users:

  1. Make a temporary directory on your HDD to save the downloaded file, e.g. C:\bront
  2. Start downloading.
  3. Once downloading is completed, double click the downloaded file to extract it.
  4. Plug in the FAX/MFC and connect to your PC by a USB cable.
  5. When the "Add New Hardware Wizard" appears,

    For Windows 98, 98SE Users:
    Click "Next".

    For Windows Me Users:
    Select "Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)", then click "Next".
     
  6. Select (Recommended) and click "Next".
  7. Select "Specify a location" and remove the other check marks, then click "Browse" to locate the file. Specify the same directory as you extracted the file in Step 3.
  8. Make sure "Specify a location" is selected and click "Next".
  9. Click "Next".
  10. Click "Finish".
  11. Repeat the steps from 5 to 10 two more times.
